About David Mobley

Dr. Mobley is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Mobley received his Bachelor of Science degree at Texas A&M University, and completed requirements for his M.D. degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. After completing his surgical internship at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, he moved to Richmond, Virginia in 1987 where he completed a four-year residency in Otolaryngology at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Mobley\'s plastic surgery training occurred at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, where he completed a full plastic surgery residency and microvascular surgery fellowship in 1993. In his final year of training Dr. Mobley served as Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. Seeking advanced training in cosmetic surgery, Dr. Mobley completed a one year fellowship at the McCollough, Grotting and Associates Aesthetic Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama, which was devoted to extensive training in specific cosmetic surgery procedures such as facelifts, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty and liposuction. Dr. Mobley is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society For Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Mobley holds active staff appointments at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Sarasota Plastic Surgery Center, Cape Surgery Center and Health South Surgery Center.Specialties: With over 17 years of experience, Dr. Mobley focuses on cosmetic plastic surgery, with emphasis on aesthetic surgery of the face, breasts, and body. He also commonly employs non-invasive procedures including injectables, fillers, and volumizers. In a continuing pursuit of excellence, Dr. Mobley also utilizes the latest trends in less invasive, minimal incision facelifts, facial fat grafting, stem cells, wrinkle removal with Encore fractional CO2 laser, and innovative liposuction techniques.
