ABOUT DAVID MURRAY
Something of a test driver for new ideas, processes, and systems.David is an operations and AI leader who helps firms build intelligent systems for organizational transformation. At FCM, An Accordion Company, he architects AI platforms, from concept through production, that enable CFOs and PE partners to make faster, better-informed decisions. He builds AI systems that connect organizational knowledge to decision-making, with a focus on transforming probabilistic AI into predictable, measurable business outcomes.David was doing applied ML in manufacturing a decade before the current wave. He built systems in environments where failure meant real consequences at real scale.Prior to FCM, David spent seven years at Nike in R&D, advanced innovation and technical materials leadership. He defined commercialization processes that scaled a core technology platform from 16 million to over 80 million pairs annually, and later managed technical materials supporting 320+ million pairs annually for one of Nike\'s flagship product lines. Earlier, he held manufacturing leadership roles in production engineering at Valspar and Ecolab and built factories in Iowa, North Carolina, Texas, and Illinois. David holds a Global MBA from IE Business School and Chemical Engineering and Chemistry degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. His experience spans PE portfolio operations, footwear, coatings, water treatment, aviation, financial services, and quick service restaurant operating systems. He learns fast, troubleshoots from multiple angles, and changes course without hesitation when the data says to.Strategy and culture are both crucial. Finding the right balance is the work.
