ABOUT DAVID GERGEN

I’m a leader and innovator at the intersection of orthodontics, dental sleep medicine, and wellness advocacy, with over 30+ years of experience advancing clinical standards, building high-performing organizations, and educating professionals nationwide.My career began in orthodontic laboratory science, where I earned national recognition early in my career, including “The Finest Orthodontic Technician in the United States” award. Since then, I’ve built and led one of the most respected full-service labs in the country — Gergen’s Orthodontic Lab — with expertise in custom orthodontic and sleep appliances crafted with precision and clinical excellence. Over time, my focus expanded into dental sleep medicine and wellness, educating dental and medical professionals on obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), airway-centered care, and oral appliance therapies. As CEO of the Pro Player Health Alliance, I helped develop national awareness campaigns, including partnerships with former NFL players to highlight the importance of sleep health and early intervention. I also serve as CEO of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy (Dental Division), where I build training initiatives for clinicians integrating airway and sleep-focused care into practices. I believe in evidence-based care, collaborative solutions, and patient-first innovation. I’m always open to connecting with clinicians, industry partners, and organizations that share this vision.
