About Dane Auensen

I am a team leader and results-driven IT professional. In the last 10 years I have served in Project Management, Scrum Master, Agile Coach, and Release Manager capacities. I have a BBA from Georgia Southern University (with honors) majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Science, an MBA, and Master of Science Information Systems Management (MSIS) degrees from Kennesaw State University (GPA 4.0). I have work experience in Supply Chain, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Hospitality, Loyalty, and Device Lifecycle Management domains. In May 2018 the KSU faculty chose me as the Outstanding Student of the Year due to the quality of the work that I submitted and the meaningful contributions I made to in-class discussions.In my work experience, I routinely interface with all levels in the organization including Senior Leadership, Engineering, QA, DevOps, Release Management, Product Management, Agile Coaches, Professional Services and Implementation teams to deliver value to customers and to improve our ways of working. I have Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) and Certified Agile Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certifications from Project Management Institute (PMI), Certified Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance, Agilist, Advanced Scrum Master, and Release Train Engineer (RTE) certifications from Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and the Foundation certification from Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).I have experience leading multiple development teams at the same time, with members in other countries including India, Mexico, Belarus, Argentina, and Canada.I adopt a systems-thinking, inspect-and-adapt approach to comprehensively understand all steps involved with delivering software solutions and then apply lean principles to reengineer processes to eliminate waste so that customers can pull value from our systems continuously. I adhere to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) principles to regularly demo and deploy code and seek feedback.I am dedicated to learning. I have offered four lunch-and-learn sessions in my 2.5 years at T-Mobile with topics related to Test-Driven-Development (TDD), the Project-to-Product transition, Scaled Agile Framework, and Theory of Constraints and Drum-Buffer-Rope Schedule Optimization methodology. My latest focus has been on Behavior-Driven Design (BDD). I recently joined a BDD Coaching team to educate delivery teams to use this methodology.I am a registered yoga teacher and play on a recreational adult mens soccer team on weekends.

    Enterprise Data and Analytics- Managing Oracle Exadata to Google Cloud migration. Multi-year project involving three vendors. Requires ingestion and integration of twenty source systems using IICS- Held request for proposal sessions with four vendors (Infosys, Axis, Cognizant, TCS) to elicit bids to award contracts. Compared cost, timelines, accelerator technologies, team composition and previous working experience to choose partners- Establish relationships with business stakeholders to understand data and Power BI data analytics needs. Create user stories and Epics. Work with business stakeholders to prioritize work items and develop roadmaps. Work with engineering teams to determine hour estimates- Define and sequence SDLC Engineering, QA, CICD, and Support activities. Assign roles to activities and establish review gates (design review, code review, qa sign-off, UAT / business sign-off, support handoff, CAB approval). Create CR\'s in ServiceNow. Approve CICD production deployments in Github- Establish Jira roadmaps for multiple Scrum teams. Tracking deliverables, reporting on progress. Tracking Capex and Opex spend against budgets. Generating forecasts. Single point of contact for multiple Clarity projects (calculating ETC\'s per task per resource, creating and assigning tasks, generating biweekly reports, briefing executives on progress)- Program Management- driving creation of business performance metrics (KPI\'s) across multiple domains (Supply Chain, Store Ops, Commercial Sales, Pricing, Catalog, Merchandising, Finance, HR. Tracking program status in Jira and Confluence. Creating reports for executives- Running RCA calls for production incidents to capture lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
