Amazonian, InfoSec professional, and retired Army Sergeant. I\'ve been working at Amazon since 2020, currently in the role of Security Engineer II focused on Cyber Threat Intelligence. Prior to that, I spent over 3 years as a Security Engineer investigating insider threats and 2 years in incident response at Amazon Physical Stores which includes:Go convenience stores, Fresh grocery stores, Books, 4 star, Wholefood Markets.The stores incorporated technologies such as JWO (Just Walk Out)- an automated checkout-free shopping experience that allows customers to enter a store, take what they want, and leave without waiting in line and Amazon one - a contactless payment system that uses your palm to pay.Before joining Amazon, I had a long career of over 21 years in the Irish Defence Forces, working in the DFHQ NOC (Network Operating Centre), CIRT (Cyber Incident Response Team) and the 2nd Cavalry Squadron. I hold a Master\'s degree in Forensic Computing & Cybercrime Investigation from University College Dublin, where I graduated with distinction.I believe in the importance of lifelong learning, and have earned many industry-leading certifications over the years, including from SANS,(ISC)2, Amazon Web Services, and Splunk.
