ABOUT DAVE PRIOR

Experienced commercial professional with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry. Reporting to the Rail Sector Director, Dave is Rail Sector Commercial Director at Amey and sits on the rail SLT.Having experienced working in large corporate and family-run businesses; he has been fortunate to take the best from both models. This has shaped his values and behaviours as a leader and constantly challenge processes to ensure this drives the right behaviours, efficiencies and contribution to the bottom line. He acknowledges that a company is only as good as its people and financial sustainability is achieved by supporting construction sites to deliver efficiently, in control and right first time. You cannot sit on a pedestal and as such prides himself as one that can roll his sleeves up getting into detail and be strategic when the job requires. Skilled in Negotiation, Subcontract Management, Cost Engineering, Quantity Surveying, and Construction Law; David is also passionate about the development of young talent and providing opportunities to those individuals to realise their own ambitions.
