Hi! I\'m Danitza Daya. I am a full-time professional as a Senior Accountant with Main Street Capital Corporation in Houston, Texas. I am also currently a Graduate student at University of Houston Bauer College of Business pursuing my Master\'s in accounting and preparing to sit for the CPA exam.I have been within the accounting industry for 4+ years now and have experience with accounts payable, full cycle cost center management, assisting and supplying support for audits, executing SOX controls, GL corrections and entries, reconciliation, variance accounting, and development and implementation of new processes and process improvements. My previous role allowed me to work interdepartmentally with our finance/accounting department, our offshore team as well as our merchandising team allowing me to learn under different umbrellas across the company.I\'m passionate about solving puzzles - accounting is a big puzzle where all the pieces need to fit to make sense. I enjoy the satisfaction from arriving at \'right\' answers and making the pieces fit.
