ABOUT DANA SKELLY
I love what I do. As a wildland fire professional and U.S. civil servant since 1996, I have built a career focused on blending science and management. In addition to qualifications in Command and Operations, I am a PhD candidate at Oregon State University. The passion and commitment I find throughout our communities of practice inspire me. Through teamwork and knowledge sharing we build sounder, more resilient stewardship organizations. This is the ultimate best practice. My professional focus is to advance progressive and accountable approaches to wildfire management. Fire is the most critical conservation tool we apply. Bringing both heartbreak and renewal, it is a dynamic teacher. I appreciate the personal challenges this work has provided as well as the opportunity to contribute to the greater good. Here\'s to continued inspiration. Thanks for all that you do.
