ABOUT DANA KRAUSE
I have over 25 years’ experience as a collaborative leader, strategic partnership and program manager, policy developer and innovator. I commenced my career as a refugee and human rights lawyer including practising in the areas of mental health and tenancy before joining the public service in 2010. I have deep knowledge and experience in matters relating to multicultural communities including in the areas of settlement, family violence, mental health, discrimination, vilification and racism. I have particular expertise in building strong and trusting relationships, engaging with multiple stakeholders including NGOs, service providers and community leaders and working through complex and sensitive issues. I facilitate community-led and owned solutions and elevate community voices through innovative and responsive program design and policy development and co-design approaches. I am adept at leading and initiating strong partnerships, facilitating cross departmental collaborations and helping to shift traditional roles played by government. I bring empathy and authenticity to my work and seek to drive sustainable change.
