As Policy Director for the Greater Baltimore Regional Integrated Crisis System (GBRICS) project at Behavioral Health System Baltimore (BHSB), I am part of the leadership team pursuing the expansion and redesign of the region\'s mental health and substance use crisis response system. The GBRICS project is a five year,$45 million grant with the goal of reducing unnecessary emergency room use and law enforcement involvement for those experiencing behavioral health challenges. My role leads the development of the GBRICS policy agenda, ensures support across government for the project, and coordinates meaningful engagement with the communities served.
