ABOUT DAN OATRIDGE
Much of what I’ve learnt over my life is from going through it. Life experience. I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression which led to having to leave my work and ultimately down a very dark path I almost didn’t come back from. My passion for MHFA and desire to work in this space came from needing the program for myself. Taking things I learnt and taking my lived experience and help share with others so that what I’ve learned from others can be passed on to others in the hopes they help someone else. I’ve worked in retail which surprisingly put my sociology and criminology degrees to use… I am not limited to my mental health challenges though. They do not define me.
