ABOUT DAMIEN KEEL
Passionate Rural educator who believes in the power of positivity and appreciative approaches to arrive at improved outcomes for students and the community. An educator for the past 32 years, the last 27 years in the Principal Class. Began as a Small school Principal and has worked closely with Griffith University to co-develop a Graduate Certificate of Small Schools Leadership. Currently Principal of Yarrawonga College P-12 with over students. A former member of the Bastow Institute Strategic Advisory Council, also member of the Regional/Rural Reform panel for the Department of Education and on the Board of the Victorian Principals Association. Links with the community as a Director on the Board of ClubMulwala. Currently working on securing a 0-99 Education and Sporting Precinct for Yarrawonga and Moira Shire communities. Currently has a new Kindergarten in 2026 and P-12 on-site and working with Adult Education providers around local provision. Also recently received planning funding to consolidate all year levels P-12 on one site, making way for Early Years and Adult Education on the other. Exciting times!
