ABOUT CYNTHIA MONTOYA

A certified paralegal and e-discovery specialist, I offer a broad range of knowledge and experience derived from organizations in both the public and private sectors. As a native Angeleno with roots in the South Bay, my eye for detail, drive for excellence, and unfailing optimism led me to become a proud member of the UCLA Bruin Class of 2006. I later obtained my Certificate in Paralegal Studies with Honors Extraordinary from Pasadena City College where I served as Website Administrator and Vice-President of the PCC Paralegal Association. An avid reader with a core belief in lifelong learning, I highly value Continuing Legal Education and opportunities for professional and personal development and have taken courses through various institutions. Leveraging my experience with data management, information governance and electronic discovery, I have earned the Certified E-Discovery Specialist designation and have supplemented my professional experience with additional learning opportunities and certifications. I also enjoy helping non-profit organizations in my free time. During the first quarter of the pandemic, I joined the board of the Los Angeles Paralegal Association to assist paralegals in staying connected with learning, networking, and community service opportunities. I also served on the board of the California Alliance of Paralegal Associations. I then joined the board of the San Francisco Paralegal Association as well as the Paralegal Section Planning Committee at the Bar Association of San Francisco. I\'m also an ardent supporter of the San Diego Paralegal Association. I highly recommend becoming a member of multiple associations so you can network and partake of the multitude of learning and personal development opportunities that each of these organizations provide.
