ABOUT AIDEN PREUSS

Hi, my name is Aiden Preuss. I am a junior at San Diego State University pursuing a degree in Kinesiology on the pre-med track.I’ve always been driven by a passion for helping others and making a meaningful impact in people’s lives. Growing up, I spent weekends with my family preparing meals and going to Skid Row in Los Angeles to serve the unhoused community—an experience that shaped my commitment to service and healthcare.As I developed my interest in medicine, I gained hands-on clinical experience through an international internship in Athens, Greece, where I shadowed physicians across multiple specialties and observed patient care in both hospital and clinical settings. This experience broadened my perspective on global healthcare systems and strengthened my desire to pursue a career in medicine. I have also worked in a physical therapy clinic, assisting with patient care and rehabilitation, which further deepened my understanding of patient-centered treatment.In addition, I am actively involved in Flying Samaritans, a student-run nonprofit organization that provides free medical, dental, and optometry care in Tijuana, Mexico. As part of the organization, I lead resource outreach efforts—coordinating donations, building partnerships, and helping expand access to care for underserved communities.I am eager to continue expanding my clinical experience, deepen my knowledge of medicine, and grow as both a student and future healthcare provider. I am passionate about learning, serving others, and pursuing a career where I can make a lasting difference.
