Barge sales and Logistics managers at Marquette work alongside our long-term industry partners to provide barges for where tonnages are sold. Each day requires operational, strategic, tactical, and contingency planning. We work as a team to monitor all happenings of our barge pool to accurately update customers and track expenses.Individually, I have been assigned to manage barge traffic on the Upper & Lower Mississippi River, the Illinois River, the Ohio River, the Tennessee River, the Cumberland River, the Arkansas River, the Red River, and the port of New Orleans. It is very important for me to be able to quickly and efficiently develop relationships with contacts all across the inland river system. I pride myself on communicating well, and maintaining integrity with all customers and vendors.
