Data science is not just statistics, but rather an interdisciplinary field focused on asking the right questions, manipulating data sets, and of course creating visualizations to communicate meaningful results. I intend to combine my strong background as an IBMi Developer, with my more recent skills in data science to support a team that is committed to legacy technologies and implementing practical applications in data science, from development to testing.I am excited by the never-ending opportunities to learn and add to my knowledge base. I enjoy the challenge and the introduction of new tools, technologies, and methods - a reality which led me to dive into a masters in data science at Regis University in 2017. As a personable and user-friendly developer, with twenty plus years of progressive experience already under my belt, I look forward to joining a forward-thinking team. My development approach is user-friendly, and my communication style is customer service focused. I can both code and communicate. I rise to the challenge, gladly putting in the extra time needed to get a job done right. A geek at heart, I merely delight when stuff works and when users can do their job. I am particularly adept at testing and follow-through: dedicated to ensuring my work addresses requirements to deliver top-notch products that successfully integrate, support business functions, and achieve strategic goals. As a co-worker, I am professional and good-humored.(I shower daily too!) I recently completed my Masters of Science in Data Science at Regis University and I am open to great new opportunities.
