I am the Vice President of Data Science and Statistics at Edison Research working with major news networks including ABC, CBS, CNN, and NBC to model and carry out the exit polls for news coverage on Election Night.I have overseen the development of statistical and analytical software around the world for use in determining research outcomes. I\'ve worked on hundreds of domestic, international, state and national surveys. I have extensive experience with advanced statistical data models, multivariate analysis, cluster analysis, non-parametric statistics, categorical data analysis, small sample sizes, design of experiments, survey weighting, and stochastic processes.I have worked on the Enterprise Data Warehouse analyzing large amounts of data in the health care industry including patient satisfaction surveys, employee scheduling analysis, and outcome analysis for the Women and Newborn department.I have experience with relational databases, primarily MySQL though I have done some web application development using MS SQL Server and Oracle. I have designed and developed complex web and database applications to facilitate customer, client, and employee work flow. I have developed custom online analytical software on very large databases for a variety of companies including Pandora Internet Radio, Yahoo, and TargetSpot digital audio advertising. I have experience installing and using Apache Hadoop and MongoDB (RMongoDB) for various projects.I have built and developed numerous web applications using a variety of tools. I have extensive experience using R and began using it before version 1.0.0. The tools used for each project varies but have traditionally included HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Perl, Python, SQL, R, and LaTeX.
