    The Director of Emergency Management and Business Continuity leads the Office ofEmergency Management within the Department of Risk Management at Texas Woman\'s University-Create and execute plans and programs that comply with national, state, and local requirements and standards-Maintain and improve programs aimed at restoring normal university operations after significant campus events-Design and lead drills and exercises to test response plans and ensure readiness for emergency situations-Respond to and coordinate various emergency situations across the campus-Develop and lead programs to educate the public about emergency preparedness and response-Oversee projects aimed at recovering from emergencies and mitigating future risks-Work with university leaders to identify and mitigate risks from an emergency management and business continuity perspective-Set up and maintain emergency coordination teams to manage different aspects of response and continuity-Provide leadership and supervision for emergency management and continuity personnel, including full-time staff, interns, and student assistants-Plan, direct, administer, and evaluate the operations and budgets of the university\'s emergency management and continuity program-Recommend and participate in the development of university policies and procedures related to emergency management-Serve as the primary liaison with local, state, and national agencies on emergency management matters-Monitor emerging hazards and threats such as severe weather and civil disturbances-Set job standards for subordinate staff and evaluate their performance in accordance with university policies and procedures-Develop and distribute emergency notifications and timely warnings in partnership with Marketing and Communication and University Police.
