Summary of ExperiencesChris Lathrop retired from serving in the United States Air Force after nearly 24 years in Feb of 2011. Chris has been working as an Audio/Video Design Engineer for AVI Systems since Oct 2014. Prior to his current assignment, Chris worked for WebHead installing and operating the USSTRATCOM War Game Center. Chris was previously with BAE Systems, where he was an Audio/Video and Teleconferencing Integrator/Installer working at USSTRATCOM. Chris was self-taught in programming Crestron control systems and touch panels as well as integrating them into Extron matrix switches and other A/V Equipment. He enhanced his knowledge within this area by attending manufacturing classes.Chris started his Air Force career in 1987 as a Computer Systems Maintainer. During his career, he was stationed at Offutt AFB NE, Spangdahlem AB Germany, Minot AFB ND, and US Embassy, Ankara Turkey. The last 5 years of his enlistment he served as a First Sergeant at both Minot AFB and Offutt AFB. The largest of the units he was a First Sergeant for was the 55th Medical Group with over 700 personal. Chris graduated from Bellevue University with a Bachelors degree in Management and a GPA of 3.986.Chris is an amateur radio operator and spends some of his free time making new contacts around the globe. He is also an amateur photographer and enjoys taking photographs in his free time of places he visits.
