During my internship at UBS Wealth Management, I supported both the International and Middle East/Israel desks by assisting in client onboarding, conducting financial and reputational due diligence, and analyzing private equity fund performance across multiple asset classes. I collaborated directly with senior financial advisors on portfolio construction, risk profiling, and strategic asset allocation tailored to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. I also had the opportunity to engage with fund managers and sales representatives from top-tier alternative investment providers such as KKR (K-PEC, K-INFRA) and Brookfield (BII), deepening my understanding of infrastructure and private equity strategies. One thing these dealings taught me is that harnessing megatrends (e.g. geopolitical fragmentation, digitalization, low carbon transition, deglobalization) and technological advancements like AI is essential to investment and the proper management of family wealth. In addition to supporting day-to-day advisory activities, I prepared and delivered investment presentations to institutional partners, including BlackRock, Bloomberg, Morgan Stanley, and participated in sales pitches involving alternative investments. This experience strengthened my financial analysis, product knowledge, and client-facing communication in a global finance environment. I also gained valuable exposure to the internal dynamics of a top-tier wealth management firm, observing how collaboration, discretion, and strategic alignment shape both client outcomes and advisor success. These experiences also strengthened my interest in valuation, risk evaluation, and the technical intricacies of alternative investments, motivating me to further explore these areas through hands-on experience and continued study.
