ABOUT CHRISTOPH KÖPKE

At EurA AG, I work as an innovation, network, and project manager for innovative and mostly funded projects and cooperation networks in the Aachen office. I have been team leader in the field of environment, sustainability, and energy for several years and, since this year, also serve as the coordinator for national funding at the Aachen office. My work covers regional, national, and European projects (ZIM, 8th Energy Research Program, Research Allowance, KMUi, Horizon, Innovation Fund, etc.). Through my involvement in numerous projects across various fields, I developed a strong focus on the 8th Energy Research Program, where I now actively contribute as Product Owner at EurA. Additional services include financing, investment grants, innovation and project management (IPMA D), as well as network and cooperation building. A special focus of our office is technology transfer with space, which we leverage as a partner of ESA and DLR. I studied Economic Geography at RWTH Aachen University, specializing in Renewable Energy, Industry, Innovation & Networks, Municipal Management, and Business Development. My diploma thesis analyzed the spatial and economic implications of the Renewable Energy Act (EEG) 2017 for the wind energy industry. During my studies, I gained hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector as a student assistant at Energiekontor AG, a wind farm developer. During this time, with the support of my team, I developed a tool for the optimized collection, analysis, and processing of wind farm projects.
