ABOUT CHRISTINE JOHN

I’m a results-driven engineering leader with 9+ years of experience delivering large-scale, high-impact software systems across health tech, media, and fintech. My focus is on building scalable architectures, leading cross-functional teams, and translating product vision into engineering excellence.Currently, I serve as a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle Health, where I lead the architecture and rollout of the new Pharmacy App—the next-generation platform replacing the DHA/VA pharmacy system. This solution will reach 1,380 VA clinical sites and ~9 million veterans, modernizing pharmacy workflows across 170 medical centers and 1,193 outpatient clinics. I also spearhead efforts to integrate AI-powered assistants into the UI, enabling clinicians to automate daily tasks and save meaningful time and cost for health systems.Previously, at The Washington Post, I drove architectural and strategic initiatives across core digital platforms. As Principal Software Engineer, I led the development of the Recipe Experience, which drove a measurable lift in engagement, CTR, and subscriber growth among 2.5 million digital readers. I also launched the Post’s first AI-powered article summarization feature, while founding mentorship initiatives that reached over 100 engineers across the organization.Earlier at Capital One, I led UI development for Teller 2.0 and served as Board Chair for the Women in Tech BRG, advancing DEI and professional growth programs company-wide. At People10, I established onboarding bootcamps for early-career engineers and contributed to scalable full-stack product development.Currently pursuing my MBA at UT Austin (McCombs School of Business), I’m expanding my leadership in product strategy, business operations, and organizational design to bridge engineering innovation with business outcomes.I’m passionate about leading teams that deliver not just working software—but products that transform experiences, empower users, and drive measurable impact at scale.
