ABOUT CHRISTIE POLLET-YOUNG
Christie Pollet-Young has created a unique career in conservation and the development and application of novel climate change solutions. She is currently the Vice President of Climate at SCS Global Services. She has managed an internationally-awarded carbon offset verification program that has verified about 380 million tonnes of CO2-e around the globe. The Climate Division also includes Greenhouse Gas Verification of Entities and ESG Assurance for numerous global entities. She has also served as forest ecologist, conservationist, and natural resources management professional over her more than 25-year career. She is keenly interested in transformational climate change solutions and the creation of a circular economy.As the Managing Director of the Greenhouse Gas Verification Program of SCS, Ms. Pollet-Young managed a multi-disciplinary team of talented auditors and technical experts in carbon offset projects and programs worldwide. In addition to her focus on operations and sales, Ms. Pollet-Young is a lead auditor who has conducted assessments under the California Air Resources Board\'s Cap-and-Trade Regulation (ARB), the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), the Climate Action Reserve (CAR), the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Standards (CCB), the American Carbon Registry (ACR), and the Forest Carbon Offsets Protocol (FCOP), among others. She is also a VCS AFOLU expert in the Improved Forest Management (IFM) project type and Jurisdictional and Nested REDD Programs as well as the winner of a 2011 CARROT Award from the Climate Action Reserve. Ms. Pollet-Young has compiled a robust array of professional experience ranging from basic research in forestry, ecology, and soil science to project work in natural resources management and sustainable development. Ms. Pollet-Young is also fluent in Spanish and conversant in French.
