ABOUT CHRISTOPHER BURNS
I am an experienced Software Engineer and leader of development teams. My responsibilities have included line management, as well as technical leadership and hands-on software development. I have lead teams that build web, mobile and backend applications in support of globally-distributed workforce or clients. The software I help build is most often created using C#.NET, JavaScript and is deployed to the cloud. As a leader I aim to motivate, facilitate and mentor. I believe good leadership involves being an encouraging, empathetic and consistent servant of the team. Mentoring junior talent is something that I enjoy. I am particularly proud to have created and delivered an apprenticeship programme that is now in its fourth year and second intake, with all previous recipients progressing to full-time roles in the team.
