Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to lead mission-critical business transformation projects – giving me the chance to learn many aspects of the business.To prove the point, here are some key results: Global Business Planning & Startup – Researched locations for company’s first global expansion – then set up 2 new divisions in Cambodia and Singapore. Built financial and administration departments, teams, and processes for Accounting, Legal, IT, HR, Administration, and Facilities. Financial Management – 1) Reduced trade spend 6% and increased profit 9% – shifting money into consumer spending. 2) Created/managed $20M+ marketing budget – managed multimillion-dollar P&L. New Business & Channel Development – Used consumer segmentation data to develop plans for new channels (movie theaters/sports arenas/non-traditional vending areas) – gaining 100+ new distribution placements. Marketing & Sales – Developed and managed marketing programs (category management/ethnic marketing) that grew share by 6% at Coors and 12% at Quaker Oats in assigned accounts and markets. Leadership – 1) Built Finance & Administration teams in a foreign country. 2) Led US team of 6 direct/13 indirect. 3) Influenced/guided cross-functional departments – delivering results through dotted-line authority. Global Mobility – Researched and designed the company’s first Expatriate package – used in Cambodia. Identified recruitment firms in SE Asia to find candidates, crafted and negotiated employment contracts, and relocated candidates from US and Singapore to Cambodia. Project Management – Managed a joint-venture product development initiative – launching in a record 20 months. Purchased a PM tool; trained project participants; and coordinated resources from 5 departments. Construction Project Management – Managed the ground-up project to design and build an square foot production/warehouse/office center – coming in 8% under budget despite project restarts.
