ABOUT CHELSEA KAHLE

I currently work for Snyder Langston, a large General Contractor in Southern California, as the Operation Efficiency & Training Manager. My nine years of field experience as an Assistant Project Manager has prepared me to take on the role of company training and process/program enhancements. I have been on multiple large commercial, healthcare, and smaller tenant improvement construction projects. My project portfolio as an Assistant Project Manager is as follows- The Point in El Segundo, Multiple building, Shell and Core, ground up retail space- Masimo in Irvine, Complete Renovation of the existing building, turning a concrete warehouse into a research and development center, center atrium, kitchen, and full office space build out- Sand Canyon Business Center, Irvine. Ground up steel, curtainwall, Shell and Core office buildings for the Irvine Company- Long Beach Exchange, Long Beach, Ground up, shell and chore, retail space, consisting of and a prefabricated Hangar building, title up buildings and wood framed buildings for Burnham and Ward- Two Music and Theology buildings at Concordia University, ground up and full TI buildout- Anita Behavioral Health Campus, which is the the First Mental Health Facility in Orange County. Ground up, Tilt up, curtainwall and full TI buildout facility- Acting Project Manager for three Tenant Improvement Projects for Lakeshore Towers and Axis Communications. As an Assistant Project Manager my responsibilities are project buyout, execution of contracts, document control of drawings, specifications, submittals and create related RFIs that are coordinated with the architects, engineering consultants, and subcontractors. I also review and help maintain various schedules, project financials, cost reports, material delivery logs, and other various logs. I am proficient with the following construction management programs: Bluebeam, Procore, Prolog, Plangrid, Smartbid Net, Raken, Word and ExcelI have a B.S. degree in Animal Biology with an emphasis in Wildlife Conservation from UC Davis. I previously worked as a Scientific Aid for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife which prepared me with laboratory and field experience working with Chinook salmon and Steelhead in the Central Valley. I gained experience with field sampling, data collection, fish dissection and scale analysis. Fieldwork was preformed at three different hatcheries located within Central Valley, where I had to communicate with the hatchery workers and the public, sharing my knowledge of salmon life histories.
