ABOUT CHARLOTTE MCADAMS
Charlotte McAdams is a bridge builder and translator between worlds bringing together religion/spirituality, mental health, and technology. Her background and research are centered on contemplative life and mental health, with a special focus on equipping mental health practitioners with skills to integrate spirituality into care. McAdams worked in Alaskan suicide prevention before attending Harvard Divinity School where she completed a three-year Master of Divinity with research on trauma-informed religious life, religious literacy in mental health, and spiritual care for the unaffiliated. She co-founded two ventures while at Harvard to target issues related to the siloing of religious and spiritual needs in mental health care, one of which was a semi-finalist in the Harvard President’s Innovation Competition.McAdams’ work in program management is dually informed by experience building and leading initiatives and her deep knowledge of religious studies. Her skills span leading teams of 9+ people, managing budgets of $500k+, and growing complex relationships across cultural, religious, and disciplinary differences.Charlotte is now exploring new ideas in meditation literacy, wise tech, and contemplative design. She is always open to collaboration and new approaches to age old problems.
