I am a Lead Database Engineer at Autodesk, a global leader in design software and services. With over 25 years of experience in SQL database administration, I have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex database systems to ensure optimal performance of critical business data.My core competencies include database migration, automation, recovery, and optimization. I have extensive experience with migrating products from physical data centers to AWS with zero downtime, using tools such as Amazon Aurora, Amazon CloudWatch, and Spinnaker. I have also developed automated blue-green upgrade pipelines for MySQL Aurora, with features such as rollback capability, rolling cutover and rollback, and cross-account support. Additionally, I have championed recovery plans and procedures that improved the ability to recover data in the event of a disaster within product SLA, and automated user balancing that helped increase the backend disk utilization by 20%.My mission is to leverage my AWS skills and database expertise to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions for Autodesk and its customers.
