My name is Chanan and I am the leader of the Innovation department at Haifa Group. I spend the majority of my time and efforts scouting for new technologies and novel materials for improving plant nutrition. The most promising concepts are evaluated and tested, in the field, for future development and distribution. My main focus revolves around working with startups and manufacturers to bring said concepts in the Ag-Tech market to life. As a matter of fact, Haifa Group has recently invested in a startup that is developing a novel mobile application for helping growers monitor and maintain healthy plant growth with actionable insights and real-time suggestions for optimized fertilization. In addition to building constructive relationships, I am also responsible for leading the development of new digital tools for farming. For example, NutriNet™, which is Haifa\'s latest software solution for fertilization management. NutriNet™ is a cloud-based online service for growers and agronomy experts, aiming to optimize their fertilization programs. How did I get there? Before joining Haifa Group, I worked as an R&D scientist in different industries, including environmental monitoring, life sciences, and clinical diagnostics and have gained extensive expertise in the development of new chemical and biological assays. I also have extensive experience in translating market needs into feasible proof of concepts (POCs), prototypes, and commercial products. People who know me will tell you that I’m an effective communicator. My main mission is to help bridge the gaps between customer needs, R&D, and processes. By creating synergy between these three factors, anything is possible.
