About Christopher Gary Simmons
Now serving to support students, faculty and staff at the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design, while working as PE Firm LLR Partner\'s Engagement Lead and in other previous roles, Christopher developed a unique mindset and purpose. It was in these spaces where he began to focus on the importance of seeking out learning opportunities and contributing productively to society as a humble servant leader in and outside of profitable spaces. He consistently moves toward growing sustainable long-term impact in the development of corporate responsibility, art and education initiatives.Christopher is a Philadelphia native who was raised in NJ, for 20+ years Christopher has managed, directed, and facilitated numerous non-profit programs. His experiences with AmeriCorps, City Year, KIPPNJ and I Have A Dream make him a consummate community building advocate. After graduating as a member of Camden High’s centennial class, he attended Hampton University where he majored in Psychology and earned associate level credits. He ultimately transferred from the storied HBCU to Temple University, securing a BA. in English Literature. In 2020 Christopher completed the Villanova MBA program. His studies aligned his exceptional history of community service with his role at LLR. His promotion of engagement via art and literature are captured in his literary musical Hip-Hop Verse Shakespeare’s Othello:\"When the Knight Fell\" V.1 Clear Rises. His favorite quote…“Impossible is Nothing.” – Muhammad Ali, American Heavyweight Champion
