I’m Luis Casares Alvarez, and I thrive on transforming supply chains into nimble, efficient systems that meet the ever-evolving demands of today’s market. Currently, I’m a Demand Planner at Huntsman Petrochemical, where I’m responsible for overseeing a substantial sales forecast for the Americas region and optimizing the demand order process. My role involves fine-tuning forecasts and working closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure everything runs seamlessly. Previously, at Halliburton, I effectively managed chemical planning for multiple fracking sites, implementing predictive ordering strategies that reduced excess inventory by 18%. I also spearheaded digitalization efforts to enhance inventory tracking and improve data accuracy. My earlier roles in Siemens’ Operations Leadership Development Program allowed me to streamline processes, improve facility layouts, and lead ISO audit preparations. With a degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Texas A&M University and Six Sigma and Lean certifications, I leverage data and innovative strategies to drive significant improvements.
