ABOUT CARY DOUGLAS

As the Executive Project and Board Governance Liaison, I am proud to oversee the corporate governance and Board of Trustees administrative functions at Broadlawns Medical Center. Areas of oversight include managing and advising on corporate governance matters. I have the pleasure of working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer, and the Board of Trustees supporting the overall mission and values of Broadlawns. Additionally, I have the pleasure of supporting the executive team through strategic projects and the overall mission of the organization. My many years as a high-level Executive Administrative Assistant and Legal Operations and Corporate Governance Manager has positioned me well for my current role. I spent 6+ years at Meredith Corporation, a publicly traded company, managing the legal operations function and as the Board and Corporate Governance Manager. I also spent 2 years working with non-profit organizations implementation of multiple legal operational projects, developing plans for a more efficient legal department structure and intake system as well as several corporate governance initiatives. I also have 18 years of experience with Principal Financial Group holding a number of positions in the company’s retirement division giving me a strong background that has provided me with the skills and experience that I have carried with me. I am highly adaptable to changing priorities, identifying business needs and quick to generate action plans.
