About Carrie Peele

Carrie’s passion is all about paying it forward and pulling the next person up. She was the founder of Athena of Triangle. In 2014 Carrie was seated next to Linda Stevenson at a charity luncheon and was inspired by Linda\'s story. Linda was a board member of Athena International and spent most of her working life building up women. Linda said Carrie, you need to bring Athena to the Triangle. Got together with my friends, Linda Craft, Cathy Hunt and Beth Hallowell and started the non profit 501(c) affiliate to the Triangle. We provided innovating programming in leadership development and entrepreneurial skill building for women leaders in the Triangle. AoT programs have over hours of volunteer hours and over 250 program participants. Another passion for Carrie is Breast Cancer Cure and Awareness. In 2010 Carrie founded Triangle Ladies Power Lunch, an inspirational lunch, celebrating and showcasing remarkable women of the Triangle. It started in 2010, I lost my friend Brenda Kenny at the age of 43 to breast cancer. Brenda was a kindergarten teacher. It was a tragic loss, and I felt the need to find a cure and create a lifelong legacy for her. At the time I owned a limousine company. I took a limo painted it pink and dedicated all the proceeds to breast cancer awareness. I traveled across the US and convinced other limousine owners to paint their limo’s pink and support breast cancer awareness & find a cure. Pink Limousines across the US raised over for the cure. When you see a pink vehicle, you know Brenda’s legacy lives on.
