ABOUT CAROLINE PARK
I am a junior at Cornell University majoring in Communication with minors in Leadership, Psychology, and Media Studies.Shaped by my background as a competitive figure skater, I’ve always been drawn to finding the “science” within the “art” of everything I do. Whether on the ice or in the classroom, I love exploring how structure and creativity can work together to tell powerful stories. Academically, this perspective has inspired me to explore how storytelling can give shape and meaning to different lived experiences—particularly those often left untold. I hope to pursue a career in the strategic communications field, crafting stories that inspire genuine connections between writer and reader, which, in turn, spark authentic change through personal impact.Beyond academics, I\'m passionate about health and wellness, peer mentorship, and community empowerment. As a U.S. Figure Skating Get Up Ambassador, I had the privilege of nationally promoting the lifelong lessons of resilience and perseverance that figure skaters carry with them far beyond their athletic careers. I also shared my own journey of undergoing five major surgeries in high school through the Hospital for Special Surgery, where my story has been published on their website and featured in their Donor Welcome Series, Doctors\' Day Campaign, and Year-End Campaign. This visibility has created meaningful opportunities to connect with patients navigating their own recoveries—and, in many ways, allowed me to become the person I once wished I had by my s••••••••@cornell.edu
