About Caroline Ellington
With eleven years and counting in the golf / luxury apparel with industry-leader Peter Millar, my passions and interests are continuously growing and evolving—much like the global textile and apparel industry. As I continue my personal and professional development, I have chosen to pursue my MBA via the NC State Jenkins Professional MBA Program, wherein I will gain the tools to approach my current and future endeavors with a more holistic perspective. I am thankful for my top-notch technical background, and am excited to add more business acumen to my repertoire.My experience in higher education began when I was awarded a prestigious Park Scholarship and attended NC State, where I earned both my B.S. and M.S. from the Wilson College of Textiles in Textile Engineering. During my time at State, I completed on NC State’s Varsity Women’s Golf team and further explored my interests in technical product development and luxury brand management. I also traveled abroad for enriching summer experiences in Vietnam and Germany. I have always had a keen interest in performance apparel, especially as it relates to golf and athletics, and I continue to enjoy gleaning industry best-practices and new trends from other leading brands in these global sector(s). I am an intrinsically motivated individual who seeks out learning opportunities and constantly strives to improve myself both personally and professionally. I tend to emerge as a natural leader among my peers, and have strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills. I have always been highly competitive and want to help my team win, but maintain my conscientious situational awareness and strong character throughout the process.
