Leading role in the analysis and execution of all corporate development and financing activity at PRISA, a major education and media group with presence in 22 countries across Spain and Latam- Led 3 refinancing processes on the Group’s syndicated debt (2020, 2022 and 2025) for a total quantum ranging between €1,150m and €865m (two refinancings implemented through an Amend & Extend of existing facilities and one implemented through a full restructuring of the debt into a multi-tranche structure with new lenders)- Explored 2 potential issuances of TLB / High Yield bonds in the Capital Markets (2019 and 2024) – both withdrawn at final stages of the process following pre-marketing feedback- Completed capital increases for a total amount of €270m (€230m through the issuance of Mandatory Convertible Notes in 2023 and 2024, €40m through an Accelerated Bookbuild Offering in 2025)- Analysed and implemented Interest Rate hedges over a notional amount of €800m, and FX derivatives to cover dividend inflows from Latam (USD, BRL, MXN and COP)- Led the execution of all major M&A transactions at the Group level, including the sale of Santillana’s educational business in Spain to Sanoma (€465m) and the sale of Media Capital, largest media group in Portugal (c. €150m)- Performed strategic reviews on the Group’s activities and executed multiple portfolio optimisation transactions (e.g. acquisition of 20% minorities at PRISA Radio, sale of minority stakes in non-core regional media businesses)- Provided support to operating divisions in the negotiation of several business development opportunities (e.g. JV to expand activities of Sports newspaper outside Spain, renegotiation of advertising agreements for radio business in Mexico, sale & lease-back of radio broadcasting infrastructure in Latam)- Played a prominent coverage role in ongoing dialogue with key lenders, credit rating agencies and potential equity investors.
