Retired Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Executive Director of Operations for Metra Commuter Railroad. Mr. Marcheschi provided executive leadership and direction to ensure that Metra achieved its mission, vision and strategic goals. Mr. Marcheschi lead all aspects of rail operations: Transportation, Mechanical, Engineering, Positive Train Control, Customer Service, Safety, Rules, Regulatory Compliance, Media Relations, Environmental Compliance, Operations Training, T&E Training and Certification. Metra is geographically one of the largest commuter railroad systems in North America, serving a six-county region of more than 3,700 square miles in Northeast Illinois. This complex system is comprised of 11 rail lines operating on 1,200 track miles and covering over 500 route miles.
