ABOUT BRIAN TEN SIETHOFF
I\'m currently the East Region Director for AMCL North America. First and foremost, I\'m responsible for nurturing and motivating our people, facilitating their career development, and fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and excellence at AMCL, I also provide oversight, assurance, and control of projects and manage P&L for the US-East Region, and I\'m responsible for building and sustaining relationships with our clients and partners in the transportation, power, water, and real estate sectors.I\'ve gained a reputation for objectivity, trust, and resourcefulness built on 23 years of experience working alongside leaders in the transport and power sectors as we tackle tough challenges with limited resources. The public and private sectors are grappling with simultaneous challenges of increasing labor and materials costs, knowledge and skills gaps that prevent us from harnessing the power of information and decision-support tools, and human-made and natural hazards that can damage increasingly vulnerable infrastructure and systems. To truly realize value from our assets, we need strategic and systematic approaches that take full advantage of the resources we have to address the inherent tradeoffs between costs, risks, and performance. I enjoy diving deep into asset-intensive organizations to create and communicate strong visions and value frameworks, assess what changes are needed to organizational capabilities to drive better performance, and make decisions driven by policy and supported by trusted information that ultimately help people lead safer, healthier, and happier lives. Specialties: Strategic and tactical planning and decision-making for assets and systems of assets; structuring systems of performance management to address customer and stakeholder needs, risks and opportunities; organizational change and process improvement; infrastructure policy development and analysis; business case development and economic analysis; demand forecasting; consensus building; public and partner involvement; stakeholder engagement; meeting facilitation; and training.
