ABOUT BRENT ROBITAILLE
I completed an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at Western University in Canada. Following graduation, I worked for Agrium (now Nutrien) in a project engineering role, completing maintenance/upgrade projects at their nitrogen and phosphate plants in Western Canada. As part of their engineering rotation program, I transferred to an open pit phosphate mine in Northern Ontario, where I worked in a metallurgical role within the mill. My career continued at J.L. Richards & Associates, where I practiced mechanical engineering and project management as an engineering consultant in the industrial/mining industry. I advanced quickly, becoming an Associate and Senior Mechanical Engineer with the firm. In this role, I managed the engineering design of multi-discipline projects and held a key role in business development for the industrial/mining market. Looking for a new challenge, I joined Paterson & Cooke in 2019, starting as a Senior Engineer and Study Manager. With P&C, I carried out a number of projects ranging from concept level studies through to detailed engineering design of paste backfill systems in the global mining industry. In 2022, I was appointed as a Director within P&C.
