Drive strategic IP procurement, management, and protection of global intellectual property rights including drafting and prosecuting Company’s patent portfolio, design portfolio, and trademark portfolio. Supervise and direct outside IP law firms, consultants, and internal paralegals in the acquisition, prosecution, and maintenance of the Company’s IP assets. Manage IP budget by critically reviewing all outside counsel and third-party invoices.\\\\n\\\\nConduct patentability, landscape, infringement, and validity analyses. Develop freedom-to-operate (FTO) strategies. Monitor commercial activities of third parties.\\\\n\\\\nMaintain deep expertise and knowledge on rules and regulations before the US Patent & Trademark Office as well as other relevant jurisdictional IP offices.\\\\n\\\\nExhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with in-house teams to identify and capture IP and diligently prepare disclosures for the protection of IP, to ensure a long-term competitive advantage to the Company.\\\\n\\\\nServe as lead legal counsel on adverse proceedings (e.g, European Oppositions).\\\\n\\\\nReview all public disclosures (slides/talks, abstracts, manuscripts, and articles) to ensure IP is protected prior to disclosure.\\\\n\\\\nAdvise GC on IP-related transactions, such as licensing transactions, collaboration/partnering opportunities, and potential infringement of a third-party patent as well as IP-related portion of other strategic transactions.\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
