Greetings, I am a current employee of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with almost five years of competitive service at the J band (GS-14) level. As an Instructional System Specialist (1750 federal job series) with the FAA I work with the Technical Training programs, project and training development performing Instructional System Design (ADDIE) functions focused on adult learning theory and performing other Project and Program Management tasks.I am also an active FAA STEM AVSED Outreach Representative and the Lead Mentor for the FAA Airport Design Challenge overseeing approximately 12 FAA mentors across seven Blackboard Forums. I also represent the FAA as an Outreach Representative to local schools, educators, and other non-profits within the National Capital Region to spread the word about career opportunities in aviation to K-12th grade and college students.Prior to the FAA I served in the United States Air Force with 17 years of Education and Training experience and a Top-Secret clearance! My background is in Education and Training Management, Instructional System Design Methodologies, Human Wellness and Interpersonal Violence/Bystander Prevention/Intervention, and Harassment-Prevention programs. I have also been trusted with the stand-up of agency-wide Drug Testing Program Administration/Management and Organizational Development Teams to include process improvement initiatives. Prior to my time in Education and Training, I was an Aircraft Structural Journeyman for three years and assisted with the retirement of the C-141B cargo aircraft and the implementation of the C-17 Globemaster aircraft; I also worked on the F-16 Fighting Falcon.I invite you to review my LinkedIn Profile as well.
