ABOUT BRANDON BLASKOWSKI

Since I will a little kid, I knew that I wanted to be in business. From working with my family businesses, playing sports and taking it all the way back to Junior Achievement when we created our own towns and stores with our friends. I just knew I had to be in the business industry. Being able to use the experiences and skills that I gained through all of this and complete internships of a lifetime and my day-to-day job. While completing my Bachelor\'s and Master\'s Degrees at Northwood University I knew I wanted to make an impact some way but never knew how. That is when I was introduced into Resident Advisory life. I enjoyed every minute of everyday when I was working in our housing department. Meeting all of the new students, working with the other staff members, having multiple events to gather everyone together and create moments to last. It is one of my proudest and fondest moments that I was a part of those teams during my time as a RA and Graduate Assistant for the housing department. Completing my first internship with Walt Disney World as a Bell Services Dispatcher and Greeter, I knew that I wanted to go back for more. It is an experience of a life time that only a few get selected to do and I was fortunate to be one of them. 4 years later I get to complete a Professional Internship, one of the most competitive internships to apply for and being accepted. It was like I was like a dream come true. Here is where I was able to learn all of my customer service skills, with the extensive training in the classroom and on the job. Handling concerns/issues, making magical moments and using all of the software was my ah-ha moment that I wanted to be in accounting for hospitality. The last 4 years I have been able to apply all of my previous operation and customer service skills and experiences and use them in the accounting field of Hospitality. This has allowed me to get the whole understand of how things operate and how it is handled on the back end. Completing month-end, journal entries, variance reports, budgets/forecasting and still being able to help in the operation are some of the items that I have gotten to enjoy. I am currently open to any new opportunity that will allow me to grow within the accounting/finance industry. I am open to any areas of business, hospitality is my background but I am open and willing to try different industries.
