Lead teammate communications for Truist and the ongoing transformational work to attract, grow, and retain the best teammates. Truist is a Fortune 200 company, with nearly teammates- Effectively communicate key strategic priorities and issues internally as well as generate positive awareness for Truist’s teammate value proposition, industry-leading Total Rewards benefit package, and commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion inside and outside of the company- Provide communications counsel to executive leadership. With reporting lines into the Chief Communications Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer- Lead a talented team of senior communications managers in the development and implementation of integrated communications strategies for the businesses and functions, including internal communications, leadership message development, spokesperson training, and issues management. Develop a cohesive, resilient team that fosters leadership, prizes teamwork and rewards initiative- Develop thought leadership and executive visibility strategy including internal teammate engagements and external thought leadership opportunities- Identify and resolve technical, operational, risk management, business, and organizational challenges, and establish long-term solutions for continuous improvement- Work with media relations team to mitigate issues in the media, often working with operations or counseling leaders on announcements or containment strategies. Create opportunities to secure positive news and manage media and PR relationships to build the organization’s reputation, the company’s brand and promote our solutions and services- Help establish and lead the vision and strategy for the Corporate Communications function as a member of the Corporate Communications Leadership Team.
