About Bradley Perkins
m a shelter and social-services leader with more than six years running low-barrier emergency shelters, warming centers, food pantries, and community cafeterias in Juneau, Alaska, following a 30+ year career as an attorney and senior executive. Most recently I managed the City and Borough of Juneau’s cold-weather emergency shelter and an integrated services campus at Resurrection Lutheran Church that combined shelter, a community dining room, food pantry, and a Safe Space for Schooling program—serving people who often could not be helped anywhere else while securing and managing roughly $500K in grants and contracts (and more than $1M across all my Juneau roles). I’m licensed in California and Hawaii and bring a governance and compliance lens to frontline work, but I’m also the person who shows up late at night when a guest is in crisis or a heater fails. My leadership style is dignity-focused, trauma-aware, and heavily influenced by Disney Institute’s approach to quality service. Now based in the Sacramento/Stockton region, I’m interested in leading or helping build navigation centers, shelter systems, and integrated service hubs that bring housing, behavioral health, and food security into one coherent experience for our unhoused neighbors.
