The Rights Team is a central resource providing rights support and expertise to the FM Group globally as well as advising independent producers. We support and promote the widest possible exploitation of FM\'s programme assets through efficient and effective management of the company\'s rights and through the upkeep of DPS (the corporate rights database). The team are also involved at all levels in driving forward rights policies for the group internally and externally to ensure FM is positioned to maximise revenues from all areas of rights exploitation including tape sales, formats and licensing. We negotiate secondary blanket agreements with UK Music Collecting Societies (MCPS & PPL) and manage & influence our agreements with UK talent guilds via PACT (Equity & Writers Guilds). We also manage our relationships and administration of the Music Publishing Agreement, currently with BMG and retransmission agreement with 560. The Rights team negotiate renewals and extensions across all underlying rights within our properties and acquire additional rights were needed.
