The Powertrain Systems segment provides systems integration of end-to-end gasoline and diesel engine management systems, serving OEM automotive manufacturers worldwide.As Chief Engineer, direct the Engine Management Systems (EMS) engineering organization, with responsibility for 9 direct reports and 110 employees located in Michigan, New York and China. Responsible for the integration of automotive electrical and mechanical engine components, Engine Control Module (ECM), software, algorithms and calibration into a complete Powertrain control system. Ensure that control system meets all legal and customer requirements of drivability, emissions, on-board diagnostics, fuel economy and performance. Primary functional activities in the organization include: Algorithm design (engine controls and on-board diagnostics) Software design and coding Electronic system integration Applications and calibrationCurrently leading the restructuring and consolidation of Gas and Diesel EMS organizations into a single Powertrain control organization of 600 people, efficiently supporting our customers with the best products through use of the best people, processes and tools.
