ABOUT BHUSHAN KARMARKAR

I serve as the application security leader for my organization, responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive security posture across all applications and services. My role encompasses the strategic evaluation, deployment, and management of enterprise-wide security solutions, including SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning, secrets management, RASP, WAF, ASOC, and ASPM.I lead the operationalization of security tooling through automation and \"as code\" methodologies, establishing robust Secure-SDLC practices and implementing automated remediation processes.Leading the Security Champions program to bridge the gap between security and engineering teams - addressing security challenges, fostering collaboration. Promoting awareness around secure development and responsible AI usage.Established and maintain enterprise-wide application inventories, ownership matrices, and repository management standards. Additionally, I conduct Rapid Risk Assessments and threat modeling exercises for both traditional services and emerging AI-driven solutions.My technical foundation includes over 10 years of hands-on development experience specializing in SSO protocols - Kerberos, SAML, and OAuth, and authorization frameworks such as RBAC, ABAC, identity brokering, and credential delegation. I was part of a specialized team that developed a custom Identity Broker solution for our product organization.
