Serves as a member of a multi-functional technical team as a non-resident QAS. Provides risk based surveillance of supplier quality systems and processes from contract award to contract completion- Reviews contracts and technical data packages to identify the specification requirements which the contractors processes must meet- Designs, plans and implement an effective risk management program to ensure that all threats to the successful delivery of the contract are addressed and mitigated in the Governments best interest- Ensure contractor compliance with all requirements related to the design, manufacturing, repair, overhaul and modernization of a variety of items for contractor and customer activities throughout the world- Evaluates contractor compliance using quality control/quality assurance methods such as statistical analysis, control and sampling, and quality data analysis- Develop and implement a surveillance plan which begins with clear objectives supported by a master schedule that includes identification of contractor and sub-contractor production needs- Independently perform audits/surveillance of contractor’s processes and Quality Management System to ensure customer and contractual requirements are met- Incorporates a thorough and detailed QA knowledge in applying various methods and techniques for investigating, analyzing, and ensuring corrective action on complex quality problems- Accepts products/technical services, and authorizes delivery, on behalf of the Government predicated on confidence in their conformance to contract technical and quality requirements
