ABOUT BECKY CARMEAN
Obtained Ph.D, in 2006 from the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Virginia Commonwealth University. Joined PPD in 2006 and have been involved in the development, validation, and sample analysis for ELISA and cell-based assays. Expertise in cell-based neutralizing antibody assays (proliferation, phosphorylation, cytokine production, luminescence, fluorescence, and HRTF), management of direct reports (goal setting, reviews, and compensation planning), maintaining project budgets, writing proposals and bids for new assays, 5S champion for laboratory improvement, writing methods, established guidelines for cell-based CLIA compliance, understanding and following GLPs, and writing or updating SOPs.
