ABOUT SAM BARCLAY

I have been building and growing global technology companies in executive and governance roles for almost 30 years (20yrs of that in the US). I have run tech businesses in the US and AsiaPac by focussing on building the right team, connecting deeply with customers, and delivering products that customers not only need - but love. I\'ve built small and large teams in every facet of the business including product, customer success, sales and as CEO.Building the right strategy using disciplined frameworks is the foundation of success. Actual success requires execution with a team of colleagues who set big goals, and hold each other accountable. I\'ve learned through many successes, and many failures, what great looks like, and how to inspire a team to achieve it. I believe in using proven management techniques to supercharge growth - just because a company is small doesn\'t mean it can\'t be disciplined and smart. As a dual New Zealand/US citizen, I know the unique challenges that Kiwi businesses face when they launch globally. Living in NZ but growing global companies means that my office is usually in the sky.I have an MBA in Finance from New York University Stern School of Business, and degrees in Law and Information Science from Otago University in New Zealand. In my spare time you will find me building things - like autonomous robots and drones, or learning new skills. I was the founder of the Montclair Blues Youth Rugby Club, and coached youth rugby for 10 yrs in New Jersey.
